Military battery terminals are great for adding accessories like a winch or other high drain equipment (side terminals just won’t handle a winch). These Mil-Spec terminals also work great when used with dual (post and side) terminal batteries. You are able to use the side terminals for starting and powering normal circuits and the top posts for other added accessories. Also, they are indispensable for multiple or dual battery configurations. Or, if you just need to replace a battery cable, you can use these heavy duty terminals and a less expensive cable with eyelets or lugs on both ends. Real problem solvers! We use these terminals on a dual battery set up in a Jeep Cherokee. The winch is connected to the auxiliary battery and the primary battery is used for starting. We also carry a Ready Welder and have cables set up so that with some rewiring we can use the welder with both batteries in series for trail repairs. The battery terminals are constructed so that wiring can be connected and disconnected repeatedly without destroying the terminal.
