About Prime 4x4

Prime 4x4 is a family owned and operated online retailer. We do our best to provide high quality products at a fair price. We use what we sell, and build our products using only quality components. We don't want a cheap part to fail 100 miles from civilization and we doubt that you do either. Everything we sell is tested and proven in the real world.

Whether on a day trail or a multi-week overland adventure our 4-wheeling goal is simple. We want to get out and get back in one piece and have a great time doing it. Our products are designed to help accomplish that objective.

As a company we have a combine 75+ years of 4-wheeling experience and by now we have a good idea what works and what doesn’t. Prime 4x4 is located in southern Utah, home to the Winter 4x4 Jamboree, 4 hours from Moab and centrally located to an almost endless variety of spectacular off-road destinations. Wheeling is what we do, we are most likely addicted! Hope to see you on the trail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Products

What kind of components do you use in your switch and control panels?

We build our products to be used off-road, on trails and in the backcountry. We test and use everything we sell. Anyone can go to the local parts store, Radio Shack or online and buy inexpensive components. That’s just fine if all you are doing is driving on the pavement in civilization where a component failure is no big deal. However, when you are 100 miles from civilization it’s real good if everything works as it should.

Our head switch panel designer (that would be me) just won’t use lower quality components. That is one reason we sell many of our panels bare so if anyone wants to save a few bucks and use their own components that’s just fine. The panels themselves aren’t going to break. Using quality components doesn’t absolutely guaranty against failure, nothing can, but it substantially increases the odds against it. We do offer varying levels of quality in components so choose wisely according to your needs and budget.
